Gatheirng @ Tonkichi

This jap place is new to me. Suggested by pilot Patric (our former maths rep who seems to have lost his ability to count beyond 5). Delicious tender pork cutlet (cant remember what its called in jap)and big serving of greens (tried my best to finish but still left about a quarter of it), plus miso soup, my stomach was stuffed. The most interesting thing was that I had to grind the sesame seeds and then add some sauce to go with my dish. Come to think of it, does it make any difference whether we grind it ourselves or already ground when served?

Actually today's gathering was to meet up with reena, whose residing in perth and she's back to celebrate her dad's 60th bday. reena has green fingers, she grows strawberries..etc in her garden. probably the next thing she's thinking of growing is ginseng. apparently very lucrative business to sell ginseng, big boss shaoyang says. it's no wonder cos he will need extra $$ to buy nai fen and niao pian, come august. congrats!

tracy tan made it to the gathering despite her sprained ankle. Her bf's proposal aroused our curiosity..were tracy and her bf in the DHL hot air balloon together?? alas, lu lu chua came with her rebonded hair, nice. we were in the midst of discussing 做人的道理。

Dr Seah-to-be is leaving for melbourne in abt 1 week's time, I wish her all the best. Gambate! She will miss our laughter and the fun we always have together, for sure.

Welcome to Sandy Beach Resort!
~welcome drink right from freshly plucked pineapple

Was about a year ago when I went to central Vietnam. Beach was beautiful (didn't expect it), weather was hot (kind of expected), people were friendly (especially gay tailor who profitted quite abit from us), food was cheap but not much variety (for me), I only liked the beef pho. Picture above was us sitting outside a Hoi An provisionshop eating ice-cream to chill out.

Time flies.

It seems especially so when you teach in a school.

I have been teaching for a year, since graduation from NIE. Somebody said to me that the first year of teaching would be tough, but once we survive through it, we survive anything. I am glad I am thankful being one of the survivors. Few whom I have heard of, have chosen to call it quits.

Come Monday will be the start of fire fighting once again. I went back to school to gear myself up for the battle, by making sure that my teaching materials are available. Cos when the bell goes, the race with time begins.

My blog has got a new skin!

Thanks to my 15 year-old niece, Emily, who helped me to change my blogskin.

Emily's quite savvy IT skills impressed me, so I guess that's the 'achievement' of her spending so much time in front of the PC. I extended my warm invitation to her to view my blog, but her response was, well...quite predictable, "Your blog is in Chinese ah!". So I kind of know that she probably isn't very interested in a chinese blog, though I tried to convince her that it's unique to have a blog in chinese :P. Obviously it's not the blog content per se but the mode of language used that has failed to arouse her interest to read my blog.

Anyway, thanks again Emily, for teaching me how to play music in my blog. I chose this song 'One Boy, One Girl' by Colin Raye, cos it tells the story of me and my beloved hubby (your Songming kor kor). Check it out.
